Treating the Root Causes of Drug Addiction
Understanding the causes of drug addiction is the first step to getting treatment. Unfortunately, the causes of drug abuse can be pretty difficult to discern in oneself. I know ñ I speak from experience. It is so easy to go into denial and to pretend that nothing is wrong. I spent years like that. The causes of drug abuse, you see, include denial. People who abuse drugs tend to be very good at convincing themselves of whatever is convenient to believe. Usually, they think they don’t have a problem until their lives are falling apart. This denial, as a matter of fact, is a leading Cause of Drug Addiction.
