Music copyright

Published by JaneH under Articles

When I was first starting out as a local musician, I never thought that it was important to copyright my music. I always assumed that music copyrights were for the big, corporate artists who had signed to major labels. Why would someone small like me require music copyrights?

Can save you a lot of hassle
If I had gotten a copyright for music way back then, it would have saved me a lot of hassle later on. You see, you can have a music copyright that doesn’t stop people from sharing your songs. The important thing about music copyrights is that they allow you to establish ownership of the song. Otherwise, it is difficult to prove that you wrote a song if someone wants to rip it off. This is exactly what happened to me. Because I had no music copyrights, when one of my songs was stolen it was impossible for me to prove it. Although there was some evidence that I had been playing that song for a while before it came on the scene under someone else’s name, it wasn’t enough to make my case.

Common Causes of Infertility In Women

Published by craigkant under Articles

Here are some of the more common causes of infertility in women.

Endometriosis – this is where endometrial tissue is found in places in the uterus where it shouldn’t be. It can cause inflammation and scar tissue in your uterus area making it hard or difficult to conceive.

Ovulation failure – if a woman is not having her period or if her periods are erratic, it may signal that ovulation is not taking place. This means that she is not releasing eggs from her ovaries. If no eggs are being released, pregnancy cannot occur.

Stress – it may sound unusual but stress can directly affect a woman’s menstrual cycle.

Overweight/Underweight – both are bad. Both cause hormonal changes in the body. If a woman keeps her body’s weight in the normal range for her height, she greatly enhances the odds of her becoming pregnant.

Foot Health And Beauty

Published by sloschiavo under Articles

I love summer sandal season. I love how my feet look after a pedicure. A really good way to ensure healthy feet is to wash your feet in antibacterial soap after you finish trimming your cuticles. This will aid in keeping the germs out of your freshly trimmed cuticles and will help in avoiding any type of infection or irritation.

Free reverse cell phone lookups

Published by JaneH under Articles

Finding a landline number is simple, as there are universal directories for these numbers on the Internet. Doing a free reverse cell phone lookup, however, can be a drag and sometimes next to impossible. Many web sites claim to offer free reverse cell phone lookups for free. However, do they?

The answer is no. I have not been able to find a directory that actually lets you see the results for free. Many claim to, and even let you do a search and tell you if it hits any thing, but to see the results you have to pay.

The reason for this is, as stated above, because access to the numbers from the carriers is expensive, and giving it away for free to a web site visitor is unfortunately not a viable business venture.

The advantage to using a paid vs. a free reverse cell phone lookup service is that the results are usually very good. They provide you with unlimited reverse/trace and people search, and are very affordable.

Paving Stones vs. Others

Published by saltedstone under Articles

Shopping centers, city walks, parks, intersections, residential tract builders and so forth have increasingly chosen to use paving stones for simple reasons. They are beautiful, durable, allow for ease of access if a repair is necessary, and they are much affordable. The popularity increase is also showing in residential use. Builders, H.O.A’s, property managers and home owners have been using pavestones as their first choice of pavement; And for good reasons. Like concrete, paving stones have a price bracket which in most cases equal to, or less, than that of stamped concrete. The benefits of installing pavestones over concrete, asphalt or gravel in any hardscaped areas are clear. Pavers are 4 times stronger; wider rage in patterns, colors and textures, prices are comparable or less than a textured / colored standard or stamped concrete, and the replacement of stained or broken stones is convenient. Try patching concrete or asphalt, it stands out.

Another benefit of choosing pavestones as your pavement material is the warranty that comes along with the installation. A reliable installation company will guarantee its work. Generally, paving stone installations are warranted for at least three years against chipping or cracking, settling, lifting, exploding or whatever – staining or fading are about the only things that are not warranted. Again, try to match that warranty with a concrete or asphalt installation.

paving stones do have some reccomended maintenance. They should be swept, blown or sprayed off occasionally to keep dirt and grime down. Joint sand should be swept into the joints if it gets ½ inch or so below the bevel line. Weed growth should be sprayed with roundup or weed killer and any signs of sink spots should be addressed quickly to prevent stone degradation. While this may seem like a lengthy punch list, these steps don’t take an absorbent amount of time and should really be a rare occurrence. If you have a sink spot, it’s most likely something that wasn’t addressed during the installation process and isn’t something that is considered a maintenance issue. In comparison, concrete should be resealed approximately every three years; concrete should be swept or sprayed off occasionally to keep clean; Cracks are pretty much inevitable and it would be smart to fill those to prevent weed growth and water penetration. Asphalt is brittle and needs to be re-sealed, re-tarred, lifted, patched and cleaned. It’s safe to say that paving stones require the least amount of upkeep.

Skin Care Information

Published by warrior under Articles

Skin – The Bodies Largest Organ

Its hard to think of skin as being an organ much less the largest one of the human body. It is indeed the biggest organ we have. Skin is the largest organ of the integumentary system of human beings. It is our protective barrier against the environment as well as the protective covering for our internal organs and body parts. It helps keep germs and other organism from entering our systems. It serves as our first line of defense against dehydration, extreme temperatures and injury. The skin actually detoxifies harmful substances and germs much like our liver does for us internally.

The average adult has from 18 to 20 square feet of skin covering their entire body which weighs approximately 6 pounds. Skin is one unbroken piece of tissue that covers the whole person. Its amazing to think that just one square inch of skin has 6 million cells. The human skin consists of 3 layers. The top layer which is what we see is called the Epidermis. The middle layer is called the dermis and also contains connective tissue. The third layer is called the Hypo Dermis or the subcutaneous layer. This layer contains adipose (fat) tissue and blood vessels. Skin has 5,000 sensory points throughout the body. It has 100 glands throughout the skin system as well as 15 sweat glands. Human skin is 00.7 or 2mm in thickness.

The outer most layer or the Epidermis is where melanin is produced. Melanin is the substance that gives us our skin colors as well as helps to protect us against sun rays. The darker a person is the more melanin their skin contains. In the second layer or dermis we find nerve endings sweat and oil glands as well as hair follicles. It is in this layer when the sebum which is the oil produced by the oil glands is produced. The sebum travels to the first layer and gets trapped in the pores creating skin conditions like acne because of this.

Another interesting fact about skin is that skin cells constantly regenerate themselves. This means human skin is always regenerating. The process of skin cellular regeneration begins in the dermis. A skin cell is generated in the dermis first. The same cell travels to the epidermis outer layer over a 14 day period. By the end of 14 days it finally reaches the bottom of the epidermis layer. Once it reaches there it continues to travel upward until it reaches the outer most layer or top of the Epidermis. After it reaches our outer most skin layer it takes two more weeks flattening out there and then it eventually dies. When it dies the cell sheds and then the process starts all over again. So this is how our skins constantly renew its self. We have billions of skin cells that shed daily.

This same idea of shedding the old cells and rejuvenating our skin is used in products to keep us youthful and our skins looking healthy.

The premise is that the old skin needs to constantly be shed so the young skin can remain exposed. Thats why there are exfoliating products available for all skin types. These type of skin products do just that it helps with the shedding process. It is important that our bodies do this naturally to keep our skin looking young and remaining healthy.

OfficialSkinCareGuide.com is a new site dedicated to showing you how to take care of your skin. So far, we’ve posted a 5-part Healthy Skin Diet article series that we think you’ll find interesting.

Before you agree to buy a franchise, you need to understand these terms and risk henceforth involved in the process. If you are not happy with the terms set in the initial contract, you should discuss this with the franchiser or move towards another strategy altogether.

Two tips on who’s calling: Telephone exchange

Published by JaneH under Articles

Wondering where the person calling you is located, and don’t want to do a search on a telephone or cell phone listing? The telephone exchange gives you two clues, the area-code and pre-fix.

Though you might not have thought about it, your area code and your prefix, otherwise known as your telephone exchanges, were put together to be able to identify the origin of a number and to be sure that there are enough numbers for everyone in any one calling area. This might seem a little confusing, and a little like an invasion of privacy.

When it comes to your home phone service, you are going to have the traditional telephone exchanges that you have always had while living there. Some small towns only have one prefix, so you already know what that will be. However, larger places have many, and that means your prefix might be different from the neighbor, and might change even if you only move a block away. Though those telephone exchanges are to identify the town in which you live, they do not say where you live within that town.

Insulating Attic with Cellulose

Published by elisam under Articles

You can’t walk around the corner without hearing some idiot spouting something about “going green” or “save the world” these days. I don’t agree with the moronic bull crap these environmentalist idiots generally propagate, but I do buy into being more efficient, innovating, and saving money. One of the most effective ways to make your home more energy efficient is to engage in insulating attic and other areas of your home. I recommend using the loose fill stuff called Cellulose due to its fire retardant properties and overall inexpensiveness.

Remedies for Chronic Back Pain

Published by JaneH under Articles

Tens of millions of Americans suffer from chronic back pain. Here are five natural therapies that can bring relief.

1.Sign up for a yoga class. Yoga has been practiced for thousands of years, with specific stretching moves that loosen the spine, tone all of your body and improve posture. Yoga does not put undue strain on any part of the body and is safe for just about everyone. Within one month of three times per week sessions, you’ll feel better than you have in years. If you have any health concerns, check with your doctor before beginning this regimen. It’s more than likely that your doctor will give you a big ‘thumbs up’ on this choice.

2. There are a number of heating pad options that can help. There’s the plain old electric heating pad, as well as the new self heating pads at the drugstore counter. Applying heat to the location of your chronic back pain helps to relax the muscles around the spine. The electric heating pad is the least expensive option and most useful at bed time. The self heating pads are pricier, but good for day time use.

3. There are several over the counter creams designed to ease arthritic pain. Most contain cayenne, which causes a heating sensation to the area to which it’s applied. These creams and ointments bring relief from chronic back pain by essentially faking out the nerves which transmit the pain signals from your brain.

4. Meditation techniques are another effective remedy for chronic back pain. You are basically refocusing your attention using imagery or spiritual concepts to both relax and divert your mind from the pain. This can take some practice, but it does work.

5. Simple stretching exercises, performed on a daily basis, can work wonders. You’ll want to consult with your doctor or a physical therapist to see which specific exercises are best for your condition. In addition to stretching exercises, chronic back pain almost always responds favorably to a daily walk. You don’t need to walk briskly, or jog. A simple walking pace is sufficient.

Cupid Love Links Online for Western men seeking Asian Men

Published by Rachanee28 under Articles

Believe it or not, but there are more Cupid Love Links catering for Western men dating Asian Men than there are western women. Come to think about it, there’s huge increase in western men dating Asian women too, and given the choice, many a young man from say Europe, The USA, and Australasia, would rather form a relationship with Asian girls then their local lasses. So why is it that we have this phenomenon of western males becoming so attracted to Asians whereas the western women would prefer to marry into their own? Is it because modern man thinks Asians are more obedient, beautiful, and unquestionably slimmer than girls from his own cultural and religious background? Who knows, the research is not yet compiled, but one thing is certain and that is shopping for love online has exploded in recent years thanks to the plethora if internet dating available in the twenty first century.
