$4,400 later, no home mortgage, no fee
Rose Hayes of Guilderland wanted to refinance the mortgage on her home, but now feels she was ripped off by the company that was going to give her a new loan.
The company, meanwhile, Rochester Home Equity Inc., vehemently denied to me it had done anything wrong and hinted strongly that Hayes, a retired teacher, is trying to renege on a legitimate agreement. Hayes said that claim is outrageous, and she showed me documents that suggested she acted in good faith.
