Deaf Scholarships for Undergraduate and Graduate Students

Published by at 11:18 am under Articles

There are many disability deaf scholarships, or hearing scholarships as many refer to them; that are unusual today. For instance; there are gay scholarships by The Deaf Queer Resource Center. This organization awards scholarships to deserving self-identified deaf lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex college-bound youths. The hearing award is not that large, but if you combine it with other deaf scholarships you could possibly get, then the whole becomes well worth it. This is an essay scholarship which you would have to write about and summit. The required GPA is not that high either – 2.5. One of the lower GPA scholarship bars I’ve seen today. The Deaf Queer Resource Center especially encourages youth of color to apply. There are many other scholarships for hearing too that a more main stream, from the Alexander Graham Bell deaf scholarship to the Minnie Pearl Scholarship and the National Fraternity Society of the Deaf Scholarships. Hearing Impaired scholarships for 2009 are abundant today. Just apply to them before their annual deadlines.
