Flamenco: Spain’s Dance Heritage

The music is lively and incredibly rhythmic. Both men and women dance to the rhythms while clapping and tapping to the syncopation. The women usually wear a beautiful dress that is snug around the torso but the skirt is long and flowing and usually red. There are special flamenco shoes that are also worn. The dance has a very romantic and passionate energy that mirrors the Spanish culture.
