Bicycle Glasses
Some type of bicycle glasses are essential when bicycling. All it takes is a big bug in the eye or a flying pebble to ruin a perfectly great ride. A nice pair of wraparound glasses also prevents the wind from drying out your eyes.
You have probably noticed I have not said sunglasses. That is because sunglasses are not always appropriate when bicycling. On a dark cloudy day, you will want to wear clear glasses not sunglasses.
You Need Both a Clear Lens and a Dark Lens
I have a frame that accepts both a dark lens and a clear lens. If I know my bicycle ride will be in clear weather, I just take the dark lens. If I think it might get darker, I put the clear lens in my Camelbak.
Of course, when riding at night or early in the morning before the sun comes up, I use the clear lens….
