Symptoms of Breast Cancer
In order for breast cancer to be detected at the earliest possible stage, it is vitally important for women to be aware of the symptoms of breast cancer and how to check for their presence.
By carrying out regular breast examination every month and inspecting the breast tissue for lumps or for any abnormal appearance of the skin, this disease, which is often painless during the early stages, can be identified and treatment can be started without delay.
As well as observing a change in size or shape of the breast and possibly a dimpling of the skin on this part of the body, women sometimes find they have a clear or bloody discharge seeping from the nipple which itself, may become inverted or misshapen. Although cancerous breast lumps tend to be hard, breast cancer can also present itself as a thickening of the breast tissue too. Lumps and thickening may also appear under the woman´s armpit.
Fortunately, many of the above mentioned symptoms associated with breast cancer turn out to be nothing more than hormonal conditions usually occurring just before the time of menstruation, but nonetheless, you should make certain of this by paying a visit to your doctor so he or she can carry out the necessary tests, make a diagnosis and treat the results accordingly.
