The Family Chore Chart Works!
Sadly, happy families is not a given, and lots of parents, especially young ones, can struggle at keeping harmony in the home. Still, that doesn’t mean it has to stay that way, and there are plenty of tried and tested tips that can help bring a little more accord into the house, the Family Chore Chart being one of them. Having a ‘family’ chore chart, and not just one for the kids, shows the children that they’re not so hard done by after all. When they can see all the work on the chart that the adults do, they really get to see just how little you are asking of them. Verbally explanations have never gone down to well with moody kids, as such logic falls on deaf ears, but when the parent’s jobs are up there next to their own, it really strikes a chord and research has shown that this approach works very well too. There’s nothing lost in trying, and there’s no need to go shopping for fancy responsibility charts. You can either make your own, or go online and download one of the many free printable chore charts found on the internet. Family relationships have been improved greatly by the clever use of job charts, and they even work well as reward systems as they help to justify a child’s pocket money, or allowance. It’s also proven that when kids are rewarded for their efforts, and not just given money and gifts for doing nothing, they feel better about themselves and more worthy generally. Are you ready to improve the health of your family unit?
