There Are Many Risks In Using The New Technologies Available
Communicating with a friend or a loved one has never been easier. The creation of World Wide Web has dramatically changed how we communicate with each other. In the past it would take up to a month for a person to receive a letter. Currently, sending and receiving emails is done in a blink of an eye. You can have a pen pal in South-Africa and not spend a dime on a postage stamp in order to inquire about today’s weather in that part of the world.
Telephones are no different
More than a century passed since Mr. Graham made the first phone apparatus. This new machine was owned exclusively by the elite. It allowed for an unprecedented speed of communication and became an instant hit amongst the chosen few. Many believed that this was the final frontier of communication. However, the inception of cell phones surpassed all expectations. The first cell phones also belonged to the elite circles and many of them were permanently nested inside of cars, but things changed rapidly. In contrast to their ancestors our mobile phones are weightless and cost nothing.
They’ve become so accessible that it’s normal for a child or a senior to have one. Things like reverse phone look ups and ring tones are the talk of the town. Popularity has also reached the developing states which might not even create a land line network at all, but rather a cellular one. The creation of a mobile telephone network (using a series of towers) is actually less expensive.
What people should know
Cell phones are great. But public needs to pay close attention to how they evolve. Reverse phone tracing comes to mind. If you were to look up a land line you would only get the postal address of the individual to whom the phone number belongs. In contrast, the http://ip-looker-upper.com/237/index.html might provide you with the exact location of the individual (if he or she has GPS installed on the phone). I think it’s a border line violation of privacy. Conversely an ability like that can be used for tracking lost children. Reverse mobile tracing is just one of the issues. Scientists are still debating if prolonged exposure to cell phone waves is linked to cases of brain tumors.
What’s the Key?
I believe that the government needs to jump on the cell phone wagon and pay a closer attention to what is happening in the cell phone industry. In all probability this is the only sure way to defend a buyer in the current market.
