Which Satellite TV Providers Should I Choose?
Many households subscribe to some kind of paid TV service such as Satellite TV or Cable. In the US, for the satellite side of things there are basically Dish Network and Direct TV. Pretty much anyone can choose either provider without restrictions to your particular area. On the Cable side however, the provider is predetermined by what area you’re in and you cannot pick and choose cable providers like you can for Satellite TV. Some of the major players in the cable TV market are Time Warner, Cox, Charter, etc. Verizon’s FIOS is a relatively new player in the market, but with its fiber optic technology which transmits much more data at a faster rate than anything else available, it is proving itself to be the next big thing. The drawback is that you can only get FIOS (whether it’s TV or internet) if Verizon is your phone carrier.
