Writing Children Books Usually A Collaboration
Writing for children is just as difficult as writing for adults. In some ways, it’s even more difficult as you have to try to get yourself into the mindset of a child – something difficult for many people over the age of twenty-one. In addition, one difference in writing for children is that you often need the help of collaborators.
A perfect example is illustrations. When writing children’s books you are going to need an illustrator. If you are an illustrator, as well as a writer, you may feel that you can illustrate your own book. And, you can, if you are self publishing your book. If you’re not an illustrator, you can also find illustrators on the Internet who will offer to illustrate your children’s book.
Odds are you won’t make a lot of money writing children books. Fortunately most writers don’t really write for the money anyway.
