Asbestos A Good Insulator, But Bad For The Health
The benefits of asbestos are many for the home. It has great insulation and fire proofing characteristics. Sadly with the cost of benefit comes great risk. Even though asbestos was widely used as an insulation material in the homes during the 50’s and 60’s, its ill effects on the health have only been observed fairly recently, up until several decades earlier. That means that the asbestos already installed in many homes of the generation have still remained where they lie in wait to contaminate unsuspecting victims. Asbestos is a widely known carcinogen. It creates cancer cells in the lungs when inhaled and can lead to tumors and death. No one should be exposed to such risks. That is why asbestos was deemed unsuitable as a building material. Negate the carcinogenic effects of asbestos by getting a specialist that knows the proper ways to remove them from the home ventilation air duct system.
