Chicken Coop Nesting Boxes

Published by at 5:11 pm under Pets

Unless you want eggs scattered all over the place, you need a chicken coop nest inside the coop. Not only is this a place where your hens can lay their eggs, it’s also an area for easy collection of those eggs as well. When you are putting together your chicken coop it’s vitally important to incorporate and provide provision for chicken coop nests inside the coop itself. As for the number of hens per nesting area, you can generally have upto 3 hens maximum. If you have more than that, you’ll need to install additional nesting boxes as required. The most common material that a chicken coop nest is made from is wood, which can be bought from your hardware store.
