Deep Condition Your Hair Naturally
Deep conditioning your hair once in a week or at least a month is a great way to replenish the lost charm and moisture of your hair. This treatment is a must, especially if your hair is permed, rebonded, color treated or exposed to excess heat. Deep conditioning is sometimes confused with daily conditioning that is simply a quick alternative to balance proper pH levels and pacify the cuticles that will be raised after shampooing. On contrary, deep conditioning involves infusing essential proteins as well as nutrients to hair’s cortex. Since it can be a costly affair, most people prefer to carry out deep conditioning at home rather than getting it done at a salon. Even though inexpensive and relatively safe, it is not necessary that deep conditioning done at home should give you the expected results. So here are some tips to deep condition your hair in a more natural and effective way.
Deep conditioning requires considerable time, and hence you should perform this process only when you are completely free and have enough time. A huge range of deep conditioning formula can be now shopped at supermarkets and bazaars but it is recommended to use natural products that are readily available at home for conditioning your hair. A blend of olive oil or coconut oil and rosemary is simply amazing to condition and revitalize your hair. Heat this mix on a pan however don’t over heat. Remove it from the stove when it is slightly warm and then evenly apply on your hair after properly detangling it. Cover it using a shower cap, which will allow the oil to effectively pervade into the scalp and moisturize it.
The next step is to wrap your hair with a warm towel and leave it for around 30 minutes. This, in turn, will warm your scalp and aid for hair shaft’s opening. After 30 minutes, remove the towel and wash your hair with cold water in order to close the hair shaft and lock in the moisture as well as oil thus imparting it a shiny, supple appearance.
