Golf For Deaf People
Disc Golf
The sport of golf has been growing over the past few years. It is no longer a sport just for the country club crowd. This may partly be due to colorful players like Tiger Woods who captured our attention. We love to have a hero and watch excellence.
Men, women and children from all walks of life are taking to the greens. This also includes people who are physically challenged including deaf people. There is a little know golf variation that is particularly geared for the deaf called disc golf. Instead of playing with regular golf clubs, disc golf is played with discs which resemble a Frisbee.
Players use sign language to communicate which actually would be very helpful in regular golf which requires talking softly as to not break the concentration of a players making shots.
