Internet crime and identity protection
Crime has always been an issue in this chaotic yet dangerous world we live in. Whether it’s a mugging, robbery, or rape, you will probably see it on the news at 11. Since the invention of the Internet, crime has reached a whole new level that everyone should clearly be aware of. This makes is a lot more important that you have a good identity protection.
Identity protection plays a role in online activities to prevent internet crime. If you have Paypal account, you have to keep an eye on your money, and be smart when it comes to your password and email phishing activities. In order to prevent theft online, you have to be aware of the latest schemes, and make sure you are on top of all of your accounts. Remember that someone accessing your email account can find all sorts of information that can help him or her break into your financial accounts.
My wife had a personal bout with identity theft when she discovered a 250-dollar charge to her bank account for a cell phone service. How did this get there? Who knows! The bank was kind enough to eliminate the charge, but had no idea where or who it came from. On a more severe note, Internet crime stretches beyond our bank accounts and IDs and to secure your identity protection you have to know your whereabouts.
