Myth: Cold Air Return Vents won’t Freeze your Feet

Published by at 1:46 am under Health,Home Improvement,Homes

Most air vents installed in rooms of homes these days come with slats that can completely shut off the flow or air or regulate how much you allow into the space. So cold air return vents won’t freeze your feet because you can control them as and when you need to. What they will do however is help your room(s) to breath property and when air in the home can circulate that’s very good news for the health of the residents.

Most new homes constructed breath a lot better than some older homes, and if you have a house or apartment that isn’t breathing very well you’ll easily be able to tell by the amount of condensation that builds up on the inside glass during the cold snaps of winter. Left with stagnating air for too long, any building will start to develop problems with mildew and you really don’t want that to happen!

Not only can mildew ruin a home and everything in it, but the airborne spores produced by this awful fungus can be very damaging to the long term health of the occupants too.

Helping rooms to breathe easy is perhaps one of the best, and inexpensive, home improvement projects home owners will ever do.
