How important is higher education? Some would say that options in life and lifestyle are extremely limited without it. Others might say that it’s a waste of time, time that could be better spent in the workplace gaining experience and climbing through the ranks on merit rather than by educational qualifications alone. Some critics in the business world of higher education say that we have a nation of what they call the ‘educated unemployables’. So why then do some adults who missed out on higher education then go on to invest their own time and money by taking on a Bachelors degree online program?

Careers and Career Opportunities are Limited without the proper papers.

Special Education, such as that of say medicine, or law for example, are crucial for those who want to become doctors, or lawyers for example, but many people go into professions in fields that are totally unrelated to what they majored in at university. However, the hard cold facts are that many opportunities are closed to those who don’t have the academic achievements behind them. Such people might be as capable or more capable even of doing the job as those with the papers, but most employers would not gamble on a gut feeling over someone they know has a proven academic ability.

Online education can and does help people of all ages to get decent well paid jobs in business and commerce, which is where many people like to take their career paths in the twenty-first century. What an education will not do is make a natural entrepreneur out of someone who has no entrepreneurial talent. Many of the world’s richest people made their fortunes without any education to speak of, and that is something that just can’t be taught. You either have the entrepreneurial thing within, or you don’t!
