Aldara or generic imiquimod can also be used to treat the following apart from the main uses mentioned above:
• Actinic keratosis due to excessive sun exposure
• Mild superficial basal cell carcinoma or other mild skin cancers
• External genital warts only; it does not cure internal genital warts and does not stop them from spreading.
