This Is A Half Ironman
A half ironman is an endurance race longer than a triathlon but not as far as the full ironman.
It is something not to be taken lightly. It’s a step up from your usual triathlon in terms of distances, so your fitness needs to be even better still.
A half ironman is exactly half the distances of swim, cycle and run than that of it’s big brother – the ironman.
It isn’t something you can just turn up for. It requires supreme levels of fitness and endurance to successfully finish one, never mind doing it in a fast time.
Be prepared. The half ironman is meant to be an extreme endurance race. It’s not for the overweight, unfit or ill athletes out there, there are less challenging events to take part in than this.
You need to be supremely fit.
