Marcus Evans Summits
Have you ever visited an international convention or a business summit and wondered who’s actually in charge of making the whole event a success? Well, I did. I remember once when I was just an usher in a business summit, the sort where you see all kinds of business-y people from countries you’ve never even heard of (okay so I was an impressionable teenager, forgive me if I have not heard of Abu Dhabi at that time!). I was in awe of how smoothly the whole event ran, how so many staff worked hard to set up the audio and visual system so that delegates can voice their opinions and be heard across the halls. And speaking of the halls, boy, they were packed wall to wall with decision makers. You could also feel the buzz and hum of the power they command just standing in there ![]()
That was quite a number of years ago. Recently I stood in a similar convention hall and had the opportunity to participate not as an usher but to represent my company. I also had the opportunity to learn that the summit was organized by marcus evans, a premier company that handled the creation and promotion of high profile summits, conferences, congresses and other such events. So these are the people behind the scenes of these astounding events! I never stopped wondering who was responsible for the effort of these summits and now I finally have my answer.
