Anger and Depression – What Are The Causes?

Published by katy under Depression

Anger and depression can have many causes. If you tend to keep your emotions inside and don’t express them very well then you may direct feelings of anger inwards. Anger is a very powerful and negative emotion. If left unchecked it could make you withdrawn and depressed.

Feeling angry with yourself over something that was out of your control is very harmful and can result in severe depression. Brooding and focusing on the source of anger can actually become a habit over time. It may be necessary to seek counselling which can help you to forgive and move on.

The causes of your anger and depression may be a result of someone upsetting you in some way, a death of someone close to you, or a situation that is out of your control.

Many people make the mistake of focusing on the negative and what they don’t want, rather than the positive in their lives. You can choose to feel angry and depressed or let go and choose to feel happy and positive instead.

We are in control of our feelings and are not made to feel anger and depression. We simply choose this as a response to an event or outcome in our lives.

OCD Anxiety Relief Techniques

My sister is suffering from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). At first, I thought that her behavior was funny. One day, she went out with her friends. But only after a few minutes outside she came running inside the house just to brush her teeth again which she already did before going out. She has a lot of funny behavior. But after sometime, I noticed that she is not happy anymore. One time, I saw her crying over some of her actions. I wanted to hurt her. Due to the lack of money, I researched anxiety relief techniques on the internet and found out some techniques which are really helpful for her and also for us people who are around her. The anxiety relief techniques we found helped my sister overcome some of her behavior and us to understand her more.

Adolescent Depression With Mental Health Disorder

Adolescent depression renders a dreary and melancholy world. They are constantly confronted with their disadvantages. When once they were able to purchase those latest shoes, that outfit everyone acceptable must have, now they must pick their styles from the thrift shop or out of a bin of shoes and clothes donated to the poor.

Adolescent Mental Health Problems

Adolescent drug abuse arises out of the urgency for vision, a passion that is more pronounced in adolescence, for experiences are still deficient. The vision does not belong to adolescence. Passion demands insight, but such insight may come only through long experience, and will be more pure if suffering has flowed through many of those experiences. Demanding the vision now, the Grail, the Philosopher’s Stone which alchemist believed would transmute base matter to gold, the adolescent discovers a kind of vision through psychedelic drugs.

The latest gadget, that hot video game player and the games to go with it are now all out of their reach. Entertainment is no longer getting twenty dollars from Dad and a drive to a party somewhere; there is no gas, and how can that adolescent appear in “these old rags”? They hear the snickers of the other adolescents when their mother drops them off in that rusted, weather-worn car. The ticket for the school trip to the zoo costs too much; they cannot participate; they have become outsiders.

Genetics can sometimes be a cause, as can things like stress, trauma, physical and psychological disorders, and even one’s individual personality.
